Folks, is it necessary, or advantageous even, to have this endorsement before applying to the regionals?

I have several friends who recently became F/O's at three different regionals. Not a single one had the high altitde sign-off.

Don't waste your money on it - totally unnecessary before applying - you'll get it furing training.
