Holy crap that's huge. Aren't there any side widows on the cockpit. I agree the fuselage looks to big for the wings, if that's what you ment by "tonka" Cant wait to see this thing painted.

Re: Here\'s the New Airbus Monster!

Captain rates will be $85/hr, and FOs at $45 an hour.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. There has to be a limit on how low airline pay will get.

Nope!

In fact, it costs YOU to work for some airlines but simply hit the "search" button above, type in "gulfstream" and bob's yer uncle.

Re: Here\'s the New Airbus Monster!

Well it wasn't really a word, but more of a 'term' into the search engine!

Re: Here\'s the New Airbus Monster!

I was flipping through the "study" guide last night, and I was unfortunately reminded that Gulfstream is a Continental Connection. Grrrrrr.

Re: Here\'s the New Airbus Monster!

Yeah, Gulfstream, CommutAir, and SkyWest do turboprop Continental Connection flying.

Oh really?

http://www.airlinepilotpay.com/midatlantic/midatlantic.htm

Those are all USAir "major" airline pilots. They even use USAir as the callsign. You'll notice that the rates I posted are above 14 year rates there. And they are flying that EMB-170 that you have fallen in love with.

Don't be naive. It can get LOW.

Re: Here\'s the New Airbus Monster!

It could theoretically go to minimum wage and people will still flock to it.

Our achilles heel.

Re: Here\'s the New Airbus Monster!

What I mean is that it will have to stop sometime soon. How long can these pays actually get? What if all the airlines were to be PFTs?

Not neccessarily!

When they pay gets too low and they're no longer able to find people to fill the positions, they can always lobby the federal government to loosen the cabotage laws to allow foreign carriers in point-to-point destinations in the U.S.. For example, a US Airline could subcontract with Air Nambibia to perform it's Los Angeles to Dallas flights.

Re: Here\'s the New Airbus Monster!

So the future of airline flying isn't going anywhere. How sad
