Henry Kissenger gets a full pat down by TSA

Agreed. They should have given him a cavity search too. I'd think having them not know who he was would have been the worst part for him.

Oh hell, I got a full putdown in FRA a few days ago.

Wah.

I flew the jet even.

I can't say I'd be able to identify Kissenger by looking at him. Once I saw his name though, I'd know exactly who he was.

Well, that is reasonable. I mean, what if you were to go and hijack yourself?!?! We cannot have that.

That would be awkward!

Besides, my overall question is why Kissinger, if he set off the metal detector, why in the world would anyone expect him to be exempt from additional screening?

He was the National Security Advisor & Secretary of State? Would be kind of like giving Hillary Clinton or Dick Cheney additional screening - seems kind of ridiculous.

I don't know if you noticed, but for the most part, the TSA doesn't really do anything a reasonable person would do in regards to determining whether or not someone is a threat and deserving additional screening. ;)

I had to read that twice. :)

Coming back from vacation out of Brussels on Monday, I felt like I needed the security guy at the airport to buy me breakfast and a cigarette after that "pat"-down was over with. By FAR the most invasive and touchy/groapy security check I've ever had.

But you went through twice! :bounce:
