Hemet-Truck crashes through hangar

Yah, a friend of mine told me about it while we drove over to (NOT into) "said hangar." Messed up two nice F&G planes inside. Havin' seen it, how the guy lived thru that is beyond me!
 
The news article says they lost nearly $1miillion in airplanes. Just what kind of airplanes are they flying that are worth that much:confused:

Two brand new 206's are barely that much. Do they get to fly brand new ones?
 
If it is F&G is is most likely a couple of Partenavia. They are custom with all plexi windows for observation and fish counting. I'd love that gig.

The Hemet PD has had a lot of gang attacks recently, I wonder if this might be related to that.

I hate when stupid people destroy perfectly good airplanes.

I had wondered the same thing.

It wasn't so much the aircraft themselves as much as the radio telemetry for tracking wildlife (ie cougars) and other electronics that were installed. Not gang related. Just some retard goin to fast/drunk. The road behind that hangar aims right where the truck hit. The road makes a turn there along the fence line. The truck however did not. :rolleyes:

So the equipment is a total loss too? Me thinks the media is hyping things up again.
 
I heard the same initial estimate, from someone else hangared there. Personally, I'm thinking that it's for the TOTAL damage. Planes, accessories, hangar, wrought iron/block wall. I'm not an insurance adjuster though. I only fly aero-planes. :p
