I am looking at buying a share in a local flying club. They have two Bellanca 7GCBC’s, with 150 hp Lycoming engines, and both are going to be newly rebuilt engines. One is "getting broke-in" now, and the other is in the shop in the process of the rebuild.
The buy in price is between 3 and 4000 dollars (pending cost of rebuild) , 70 a month and 25 an hour dry.
I have been told that there are 15 members - of only 3-4 fly regularily, and the others don't have medicals or "intend" on getting back into flying eventually. One is allowed to reserve three 4 hour blocks at one time which is never an issue
Does anybody have any thoughts/suggestions or give me an idea on this being a resonable price? I am located in Anchorage...
Thanks for the help.
Jason
