Hey guys I am a ppl with 200 hrs, Looking for an Accelerated Flight School
That wont RIP me off, And "finish me" in the time promised.
Unfortunately ATP is not an option for me, and i have heard terrible stories about som of the other schools (ari ben / RAA) etc........
So i am quite uncertain of the options that are available.
Any Ideas? Anyone With good experiences at any school?
Help me find a good school.
Thanks

Sounds like you have the hours to go get the instrument and commercial part 61 with minimum instruction (although I don't know the composition of your 200 hrs). If you can handle self study find a local school and an instructor that works with your schedule.

You'll hear good, bad, and everything in between about most of the schools. Its really up to you to find one that you think suits your needs and then its time to do your due diligence. You really need to go to a school and check it out.

I checked out several, found Ari Ben fit me and my finances best, if it takes a little extra time because of mx, weather, lack of CFIs well, welcome to the wonderful world of aviation:bandit:

Honestly, I'd be wary of any place that will "finish you in the time promised." Or that will make a time promise, for that matter...

With your time, your best bet may be to go Part 61 to get your instrument and commercial, so an "accelerated school," may not fit the bill.

That being as it is, you should check the FBOs/schools local to you. Find one with sufficient staff, good maintenance and a decent fleet and let them know what your goals are. With a solid instructor and effort on your part, fifty hours isn't unreasonable to knock out Instrument. Slinging gear (if you don't yet have your complex endorsement) and commercial maneuvers shouldn't take too long, either, especially if you're already familiar with the aircraft family (e.g. Cessna, Piper) being used. Depending on your proficiency, you may even be ready for your commercial ride at or a little before 250 TT, though there are no guarantees in aviation :p

(If you don't know what schools/FBOs are in your area, go to AirNav.com and check the airports near you.)
