Hey everyone, I just thought that I would formally introduce myself, Jetcareers looks like an awesome place. I hope this is the right place to do this type of thing, if not please move me!

I'm from just outside the Boston area, I am 18 years old and currently finishing up high school, and my ultimate goal is to become an airline pilot.I know it doesn't seem like a very smart thing to do right now, but thats what it is. I plan on attending Daniel Webster College in the fall. I love everything about flying and got my PPL last summer!

I hope I can contribute to what seems like a great place to share and learn.:)

Welcome aboard. Remember, the smart thing for you to do should be determined by you, not others. You must follow your passion and your heart. Not surprisingly, when you do that, things just seem to work out. There are many professional pilots on this forum that once stood right where you are and chose to follow their dreams, ignoring the negativity and pessimism of those around them. Over time you will get to know them here and they will be a great inspiration and resource for you as you pursue your dream of becoming an airline pilot. :)

That's great you already have your PPL! Now before you finish college you'll be flight instructing your Senior year. If that is what you want to do.

For those who asked:

-Yeah I plan on instructing as soon as possible (the ppl will give me a slight head start)

-I fly mostly out of KBED (Hanscom Airport, Bedford MA.)
 
Welcome, I think there is a list of people to listen to and another one for the crap list. Watch out:)

Of course I am on the listen too list.
