Heart valve reguritation

Previously discovered two (Mitral & Aorta) leaking heart valves. Echo and stress test sent to FAA and approved for a 1st class medical, no special issuance. Last check up Echo looked worse, Cardiologist ordered TEE. Results are "left atrium mildly enlarged, moderate/severe mitral regurgitation and is posteriorly directed. Aortic valve tricuspid with moderate regurgitation. No stenosis". Doctor said no flying and surgery in 1-2 years.

Went for a second opinion, had a cardiac MRI, it showed "mild/moderate regurgitation for the mitral valve and mild for the Aorta". Is it worth pursuing a special issuance until condition gets worse or follow Cardiologist directions to not fly.
