hearing loss in one ear

I have quite a bit of hearing loss in one ear from a tumor I had removed when I was fourteen. I am twenty two now and have recovered quite well from this surgery, but without most of an ear canal, without most of an eardrum, without a small part of my skull, and without most of my hearing bones, the amount of hearing recovered has been minimal. Could this prevent me from getting a first class medical?

I just wanted some opinions on what I have to expect before I go to take my medical examination. Also, can you wear hearing aids while flying?

I really appreciate any insight into my question
Thanks

Best thing to do would be call AOPA or talk to an Aviation Medical Examiner. Since I am neither, all I will answer is this:

Yes. I know airline captains that wear them.

Best of luck!
