Well this has been a fun last five months.
Not.
You should never hang all your hopes on one major. I can understand doing so if you really want to live where that major is based - but the hiring process in general is so wonky that you should apply at any major you see an opening, assuming that is your career goal. Also, you can't count on the job never moving - I speak from personal experience (twice.)
@ AA january class has been canceled, there will be a possible oppurtunity for a march class, this comes from two very reliable sources
your most likely correct im definitely not benching on no more then 3 spots again for any next class if they do externalsIf March class were to theoretically happen, Eagle dispatchers would be able to apply. A lot more Eagle dispatchers than normal will likely apply. Senior Eagle dispatchers that never would have considered AA are now doing so because of instability associated with Eagle. At this point everything including who will be considered is all speculation.

So if March class were to happen, will there be a new job posting? That should be coming out soon if they indeed are thinking about a March class.
Just to clarify...this has not been ratified yet as the pilots still have to vote on that and that vote is anything but certain as this is viewed by too many pilots as concessionary. Also Flagship, AMR doesn't exist anymore as the company is now called American Airlines Group after the merger.http://blogs.star-telegram.com/sky_...contract-agreement-with-regional-carrier.html
not only states new ratified contract, increases and continues pilot flowthrough for american eagle

I was just giving him crap...sarcasm and teasing doesn't come across well in forums at times lolA little more clarification, the Eagle news is regarding an AIP "Agreement in Principal" reached. This is not the final language, nor are the pilots voting on it - yet. This is one small part of the process. Also, calm down on the OCD - AMR is still a very used term around AA, just as the term IOC hasn't taken hold yet, many still call it SOC. Good grief, get back on whatever prescriptions you should be taking.
Any idea when we can expect a posting?I heard an unconfirmed rumour today that AA will be having a spring new hire class.
