I am thinking of getting a new headset for some odd reason. Any ideas on what to get?

Well, since you obviously fly for US Airways, I'd say go with the Telex 5x5. Great headset for jets.

Personally, I prefer the DC H10-13.4 for flying around in bugsmashers and noisy turboprops.

Im talking about an average headset, not top of the range, not [expletive deleted] either.

Don't know about retail, but DC H10-13.4s are routinely in the low 200s (US$) on eBay.

I have a couple of DCs as well as a few basic ASAs.

A friend of mine tripped over the wire on one of my DCs getting out of an airplane at night recently. Needless to say, they weren't the same afterwards. I mailed them in to DC, and they were fixed and back in my hands 8 days later, free of charge!

I am therefore a new advocate for the DC headset company. I have the H10-13XL and the H20-10.

H10-13.4 and a H10-13X.

Both are excellent headsets and I recommend them highly. Excellent value (you get your money's worth!).

If your going passive, I'd say get a DC 13.4. If you're looking ANR, it depends on what price range you want. If the sky's the limit, Bose is your headset. Otherwise, you can check out the other thread on ANR headsets. I'm just to lazy to post the link.....
