I am back in the game and studying for my inst. Just had a few things I could not find.
On the heading indicator I was asked, how much can it precess in one hour. I looked in the jepp book and in the ASA book no answers. I understand that you have to check it every 15 minutes with the magnetic compass and it should not be off by more than three degrees. So am I correct in totaling it for 12 degrees in one hour? I am currently looking it up in the AIM but, thought that clarification might be needed.
ON to bigger and better things. The magnetic flux valve is it on the bigger helicopters. If so where and how does it work? It seems that the surface of the helicopter may cause interference.
Sorry for sounding like an idiot just studying out loud.
