I was just informed that Hawaiian Airlines is looking for some motivated individuals to become apart of their airline. Knowing Tagalog, Korean, or Catonese is no longer a requirement, but it is a plus. They are doing a lot of expansion to Asia so if you are looking for a major carrier to transition to, this might just be for you!

Description
• Informs and briefs passengers on emergency procedures. • Provides leadership, guidance, and assistance in various emergency and non-emergency situations. • Will abide and be accountable to all Federal Air Regulations and security procedures. • Able to provide industry leading customer service in accordance with Hawaiian Airlines standards. • Ability to execute in a service-oriented fashion all In-Flt. services. • Must be customer service focused and have demonstrated a strong customer service work ethic. • Must have excellent communication skills. • Must be emotionally resilient to cope with emergencies and traumatic situations. • Projects a friendly, confident, and pleasing personality. • Displays a professional image. • Able to work as a team player in an unsupervised environment. • Possesses a Winning Attitude.

Requirements
• Ability to meet rigorous physical duty requirements including pushing and pulling up to 150 lbs (Final candidates will go through a physical examination prior to training) Must be able to lift 25 lbs. from floor to above the shoulder height. • Must have a vertical reach of 82” (Guideline for self-assessment - barefoot, both feet on the ground, tippy toes OK but no jumping to reach) • Vision correctable to 20/50 or better. • Fluency in English. • No visible tattoos. (Visible is considered from the neck up, short sleeves down to fingertips and hemline - skirts and pants to where uniform shoes begin) • Must be able to attend a 6 week unpaid training program in Honolulu in May 2011 (Date to be determined). **HAZMAT MATERIAL TRAINING PREREQUISITE- Per 14 CFR 121.1005(b) requires each crew member and person performing or directly supervising any job functions involving any item for transport on board an aircraft to receive HAZMAT Training respective to their job function prior to reporting to that department.

**DOT regulations, 49 CFR part 40 identifies this position as a safety-sensitive position. Therefore if you are selected for this position you will be required to submit to and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, PCP (Phencyclidine) and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment in this position being made.
 
I know they had a class that was scheduled to begin in March, I'm surprised to see that they are hiring more...
 
Yep. There were some talks about moving more to the east coast of the US as well. They still have plenty of orders for A330's and they are supposed to be taking delivery of the A350 when it comes along.
