Had a "Flight" moment yesterday.

Forth and final day of my trip,with a capt that I know well.We had been talking about the movie "Flight" for a good portion of the trip, as he had only seen it recently.

Anyway, we had an LGA-ATL flight, and the weather in New York was abysmal. My leg out and after takeoff I kept the throttles in TOGA through 9000' to get on top of the layer.

Capt looks over and says "You know you're still in TOGA?"

I look over at him and say "Trying to get out of the shytey air if that's alright with you"

He just stared at me for a second, and the he caught the reference. Then he just busted out laughing. I had to take the radio for a couple of calls as he couldn't contain himself.

It's nice to be able to have fun when you fly.
