Got Married

I have read a LOT of people of both opinions on marriage as inherently we as pilots travel a lot and it's hard to keep a happy marriage. However, I have taken the brave step into marriage. Any married pilot's advice is welcome.

7 years and 7 months from when we started dating to when we finally got married. I'm glad to finally be married to her.

If you can't have a happy marriage because you travel for your job, then you have bigger problems at the core of it. It's just an easy way out. Congrats, I can say that I needed my wife in my life to settle me down, help me be more responsible and not act like a dumbass all the time. Best thing I ever did.

Focus on a healthy marriage and possibly family, flying will fade in the light this can bring to your life. Best thing you can do is listen to your wives opinion and do what all the other guys said, while being and remaining true to yourself.
