Good luck Republic dudes and dudettes

The tentative contract, which a Republic spokesman called "industry leading," is expected to be made public at the same time it is presented to Local 357.
I highly doubt "industry leading" is what this will be characterized as. Getting a contract like AWAC or XJT would be great but it will likely not even be close.

First year pay will be leading with a few other carrots thrown their way, but it'll lack in most other areas. The signing bonus will be abysmal and I imagine long time CA's will take a cut.

Popcorn will be ready. Wish RA pilots he best.

BB will use this to sound the pilot shortage alarm & complain about 1500 rule and why congress should change it.

"Industry Leading" meaning who is best at robbing their labor to give more to shareholders.

GOOD companies value their employees. They recruit the best talent by offering industry leading wages and benefits. GOOD companies have great culture and pride themselves in such. GOOD companies have happy employees who are proud to work for said company.

Republic Airways has NOT been a good major carrier.

.... and then they lose the FFD flying to GoJet which has no problem hiring pilots due to their fast upgrade times.

Bedford would have had a better impact had he said "P - E - B!!"

Real missed opportunity.

That guy is a good friend of mine that is sadly his legacy. Allied with the wrong people and, well, he let go of the tiller.

NEVER LET GO OF THE TILLER.

Pretty much every contract/TA that has come out lately by every single company has been called "industry leading" by many. It's such a vague term.
They're all leading the industry ... right to the bottom. Well done. Now let's retire our fine selves to cigars and brandy in the smoking lounge.
