I'm looking to buy a good headset that won't hurt my head/ears after a long day of instructing. Catch is, I'm on a tight budget of about $300. Anyone looking to sell a pair in that price range?

You can buy a new pair of David Clark H10-13.4's or the H10-13s from Sporty's right now for that much. I just started using them, and they are very comfortable to me. Great product, and pretty bullet proof.

I can vouch for the DC 13.4's. I used those through all my training and instructing that I did. I put around 700 hours on them. Very comfortable even after a long day of flying.

I have a nice set of lightspeed 15xl's anr and all that good stuff I will sell ya for 250 if your interested. PM me

For your price range, I suggest the David Clark H10-13.4. $306.90 at Sporty's...

This was the first headseat that I used when I started. I had no complaints!

BTW, 13.4s are pretty much [unofficially] considered the industry standard for headsets.

13.4's were great! I put about 800 hours on mine. The only time they hurt is when you go on that 3+ hour cross country and you have to give your head a rest from getting pushed together. Whatever headset you get though, word of advice, make a smart decision of the pair of sunglasses your wear under them. With the DCs, find a pair that are very flat or thing because DC uses PNR and uses a lot of pressure to keep a tight seal around your ear. I love my bose now, but I still keep the 13.4s around.. I just don't want to get rid of them!

I've got a good headset for sale.

I'll second the Denali's. I have an ANR pair and they are super comfortable. A year or so ago the part that holds the right earcup started to crack from me cramming it into my flight kit, so I sent it back to Flightcom for repairs. They replaced the entire assembly and even replaced the head pad and ear seals with new oversized leather ones - free of charge.
