God I miss flying in SE Alaska.

One of the most beautiful places in the world. I was very lucky to do some flying there one summer. Flying up the Valdez Arm into PAVD at low altitude will remain one of my all time great flying memories. Hope to get back there someday.

Smile your on camera!

Second time in two years I postponed my trip to Alaska. All logistics were worked out. Planned all the way to Adak and then up to the Top of the World. Damn life. Let's see what next year brings...

Looks like I got a slot at Air Excursions this year. Other than 135 regs obviously anyone know what is covered in ground school? Also what do guys usually do for transportation up there... is pedaling a mountain bike around town doable?

Just curious who did you talk to for the interview?

You could do a mountain bike in the Airport / Valley area. Downtown in much farther away. If you have a vehicle you could drive there the Alaska Highway, then down to Skagway is very doable and a good adventure in and of itself.

Im jealous. That looks like some of the most beautiful flying I have ever seen. Putting that on the list of jobs to get.

Awesome! I love the clips of the Piper landing at that narrow strip with towering trees on either side!
