They're a knowledgeable, cutting edge company located in Miami.Anyone know anything about them? Should I stay away?
I am acquainted with a director and a dispatcher there. Both have been highly professional, polite and it seems like a busy, but pretty good operation. They also pay more than Spirit to start, I believe at least $75-$80k? And are located in beautiful (but expensive) MIA. They work with Airbus and fly both passenger and cargo into US, Europe, Caribbean and Latin America. I would say it’s definitely not a bad place to be and a great way to get a ton of different experience. Pretty sure I’ve heard of some being hired onto legacies eventually as well.Anyone know anything about them? Should I stay away?
Homestead is south of MIA, and very close to Key Largo. Not as much hussle and bussle there but it’s more affordable and fairly safe. Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Hollywood, Pompano Beach… still not cheap but less expensive than MIA itself. It’s tough financially and South Florida isn’t for everyone, but I love it.Rent seems insane in MIA, even with a roommate and getting paid 80k.
Do they require much experience? Or do they hire people with no experience?Homestead is south of MIA, and very close to Key Largo. Unpopular opinion here but if I had to be somewhere long term with the hiring slow down, I’d rather $80k near MIA with outdoor activities, gorgeous beaches, phenomenal food options from Latin America, the Caribbean and the NY restaurateur transplants (did someone say good Italian? ), with perfect winters and tons to do at all hours of the day or night. Even if you’re on graveyard hours, there’s places open and things to see… Or you can make $45-$50k at a regional in an also pricey, mega freezing or hot as hell city with less appeal (to me) and things to do. Just depends on your personal goals and quality of life preferences. Or if you can get into a regional that majors hire often from. Good luck to those who apply. From past posts they’ve usually hired 1-2 but can’t say how many they’re looking for on this round.
The job description just says “2 years preferred” but doesn’t mean required. I think I’ve heard of people hired right outside dx school but not positive. All you can do is apply and find out what happens. Worse comes to worse and they say no, you get practice applying and possibly interviewing… Or maybe you get a job.Do they require much experience? Or do they hire people with no experience?
Pretty sure they have CASS but will try to confirm. Not sure on ZED, I would think so? You can always ask in an interview and then decide what you want to do.CASS and ZED fares?
Ok so no ZED, and apparently only have CASS on Spirit at the moment but are possibly getting AA and DL as well soon. Kinda odd, but better than nothing.CASS and ZED fares?
Good points I tend to agree on. Thank you for your input. Here's to hoping for a chance.Homestead is south of MIA, and very close to Key Largo.
