Glasses or contacts for exam

Hi Dr. Forred,

I currently wear contacts for everyday use, but the last time I renewed my medical, I struggled with the last line (but passed successfully). The AME suggested I wear my glasses for the exam. He mentioned that the contacts have a tendency to shift after 1 or 2 seconds while trying to focus making the lines blurry.

Could you share your opinion on this matter?

Wear whichever allows you to see the 20/20 line best. If you use thre glasses, wear them for 2-3 days so the eye can adapt.
