Giving up.

Never give up and stay hungry for what you want. You will find something you love and if aviation doesn't work out then keep on the look out for something else that is great. Someone mentioned mechanic, I've talked to a bunch at the school I teach at and they say it beats pushing paper. Look into it if you want, it may be pretty good to you.

So you can't fly for a living.

You wanna know a little secret?

I've got a couple of members in my flying club who fly for airlines.

And you know what they say?

The most fun they have flying is tooling around in a C172 on a VFR day with no particular place to go.

You can still do that.

Amen!

After flying a jet for a year then jumping back in to a 172, I felt like a private pilot again. There's nothing like flying a 17deuce.

On top of that, I believe you can still instruct with a third class medical.

So you can still fly and get paid for it. And this way, it will be S&Gs money so you'll be having fun AND getting paid.

Andrew, I believe you will be happy wherever you find yourself. Any support or advice you need just ask, as you can see, there are a lot of very supportive people here with a wealth of knowledge to share. Truly a great community!! :)
