Hello again fellow JCers, My long term goal is to one day work for netjets, and looking at their website i see they require no turbine time, however when i look at the gouges i see no one hired without turbine time. Does anyone know the scoop, If i stay with my current employer i have the opportunity to aquire the multi but no hope of ever getting turbine time, so any advice would be great.

We have hired people with 0 turbine time in the past. Obviously it is a disadvantage, but it is not unheard of. Get the mins and send in a resume. It never hurts.

Good luck.

To qualify as a NetJets Aviation (Citation, Hawker, Falcon, Gulfstream 200, Boeing aircraft) pilot candidate you must have the following prerequisites:
  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
  • Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
  • 2500 hours total pilot time
  • 500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
  • 250 hours instrument time
from www.netjets.com or if you need the whole link, it's: http://www.netjets.com/News%20and%20Info/careers_pilots.asp

Almost there...should be fully qualified in about 9 months or so. Lacking on the TT. Both my roommates at the old crashpad were doing the application for there this weekend. Airnet North, here I come...soon.

Speaking of, what ARE the mins?

Good Question....Posted Mins are (which I am sure you know):

Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
2500 hours total pilot time
500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
250 hours instrument time

NetJets International (Gulfstream large cabin aircraft) Pilot Requirements:

Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
5000 hours total pilot time
500 Gulfstream hours (preferred)
Gulfstream type rating (preferred)
Crewmembers must live in the Continental US and within 1 hour of an airport with scheduled airline service

Now what people are getting hired with.....that's the golden question....

Fun application, huh?!?! The time grid had me pouring through logbooks for a few days. No worries though, Netjets likes the Airnet guys.

Edited: Because, like a dumba$$, I posted the same thing everyone else had posted.

Well, that should cover that one. :) From what I've been seeing on aviationinterviews, it's been 2500+ up to 8000, most with turbine. My two roommates have around 2800+ and right at 2500 and both received applications with those times...we'll see.

Nice edit...yeah, looked like they had their work cut out for them, but well worth it for most people there, it seems.

Do you know what domiciles they want to use? I saw over on another message board that Netjets sent out an email explaining the issue to some of the applicants. Doesn't sound too good for the guys/gals that want PBI, DAL, or TEB.

I know 1 is wanting Port C, but not sure of base preference for the other guy. As far as me, I am hoping for PBI, so we'll see what's happening when my time comes.

Speaking of the domicile thing, any word (rumor I guess) about the pilot group trying to roll back the clause that prohibits domicle change for your entire career? That sounds sort of like a deal breaker.
