I just passed my comm single engine sea checkride. This thing is a LOT of fun to fly. The A-5 is a really nice aircraft and handles great in the air and on the water. Driving an airplane up and back down a boat ramp was a new experience to say the least. The training for seaplane ops is a lot of new material to learn but also opens a new area of this industry to explore.

I had to find something that @MikeD didn't know how to fly yet.

Most fun I've ever had flying, the J3 at Jack Brown's, by far. Definitely the only time in my life I've wished a checkride could last longer.

Not for the checkride but as instructor maybe? Had flown in the Alaskan bush for a while? @Roger Roger knew the guy I was training with. Cannot remember his name. Damn good stick though.

Congrats! It's a fun aircraft to fly and I've got a lot of great memories in them. Is that the school up in New England? After flying with that AoA, I wish every piston aircraft had one like it as the primary flight instrument.

My total flight time may equal the amount of driving I did with it on the trailer though, ha. Coast guard checked us out in the Hamptons to make sure we had lifejackets onboard in the second picture!
