Thought I'd pass along a job I saw come up on the career site, I don't know anything about it otherwise. GE did close their corporate flight department a year or so ago but still have a couple helicopters and HondaJets.

Essential Responsibilities
Trip planning and scheduling as required by the Officers of General Electric Co. including
  • Airport destination research
  • Weather planning and monitoring
  • Ground logistics support
  • International trip planning
  • Flight following
  • Flight planning logistical support
  • Crew coordination and briefing
  • Familiarity with all current government and corporate travel advisories and requirements
  • Vendor tracking and negotiation including fuel price negotiation, setup vendor safety audits, charter aircraft price negotiation, support services evaluation, fractional aircraft contract evaluation.
  • Support of General Electric and vendor flight crews
  • Maintain on-going communications in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Assist the crew schedulers with crewing, hotels and ground transportation when needed
  • Report any scheduling discrepancies or deviations to the Manager of Dispatch, Chief Pilot or Safety Manager Determine with Chief Pilot or Safety Manager suitability of unfamiliar airports
  • Provide operational and scheduling support including after hours on-call coverage as needed on a rotational basis
  • Some travel required

Role Summary/Purpose
The Dispatcher will be responsible for trip planning and scheduling for the Officers of GE, their reports and company guests.
Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum 2 years aviation dispatching experience.
  • Must be willing to work the all shifts including the overnight shift.

Desired Characteristics

  • Aviation meteorology experience
  • Office coverage 7 days week/24 hours a day/365 days a year
  • Experience with charter and/or fractional aircraft procurement
  • Computer literate; PowerPoint, Word, Excel knowledge
  • International trip planning experience
  • Knowledge of world geography
  • Second and/or third language skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of aviation scheduling software (FOS)
