I tried to remain just a casual observer on this subject, however I believe I have more experience in this arena than most in this group. Since 9-11, GA has been unfairly characterized as the next "hole" that terrorists will penetrate. to cause great harm to this country. Understanding that most measures implemented were to pacify the flying public and get them back in the air after 9-11. Does anybody honestly think that what we now have is that much better than 9-10-01. If this industry and country were really serious they would conduct aviation security like the Israeli' method and profile suspect passengers and suppliment with capable detection equipment instead of the show and tell we now have . As bad as the AA and UA incidents were. The fires as a result of the crashes caused the buildings to fall, not the explosion upon impact. Even if a 182 was loaded to the gills with explosive material it would not cause the damage that the media wants the public to believe. Just my .02 worth
