So I'm down in the pilot dungeon moderating the forums now during a two hour "productivity" sit here on the laptop listening to a little Skinny Puppy, drinking a diet coke and wondering where I left my clip on tie...

The guy on my right keeps nodding off, his head slowly lowers to the point where his forehead taps his laptop screen, he wakes up spastic and then repeats.

Poor guys been doing this for the past 30 minutes! Entertaining!
 
Imagine if he's reading jc.com, wakes up and reads about his new-found fame! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
Now he's up again.

The "Nod Off" sequence should start in 5...4..3..2.. Yeah! Bam!

I shouldn't tease, so many of us have all of these screwed up sleep disorders... Heck, I probably have "apnea" according to Kristie.

Replace "laptop" with "table" and it's just like a lot of the classes I took in college /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
 
Doug, you could be really mean and replace the laptop with a bowl of spaghetti. Or you could be even meaner and replace the laptop with a hot bowl of chili. Now that second one would be beyond mean into the realm of criminal activity /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Careful, a diagnosis of sleep apnea won AvWeb "CEO of the Cockpit" writer Kevin Garrison (DL 75/76 capt) a "productivity sit" a few months long earlier this year! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hows your rise to a 75-767 looking? Any pregression?

How are things with Delta and the Pilots, on their way to being sorted?

What you need is a loud .wav file of an EGPWS saying "Terrain, Terrain, Pull Up!" and just as he nods off, play the clip...

Hello Doug!

Apnea isn't so funny, at least for a Japanese airline Capt. who nodded off in the cockpit at FL while a gov't observer was in the cockpit. He claimed an apnea problem, was sent for treatment, given a 6-month reduction to FO and must pass a review (board?) to become a Capt. again! Damn, if I could only find that article...saw within the last week or so!
