first off....you cant fly that plane in fsx. The guages wont work. It is only for fs2002 and fs2004. They are making an NG2 though.

Secondly, you can either pay for it or be a bad boy and well.....

On a side note. Best buy is selling the 747X for 30 bucks. Go pick it up. That has all the bells and whistles you would expect from PMDG.

The J41 is pretty awesome as well.
 
Yeah, Matt is right wait for them to come out with the one for FSX.

I don't fly much outside of my vaerobatic team anymore, but if you fly online and want some people you know that aren't 12 and retarded, let me know.
 
The FSX version will probably be all pimped out to take advantage of the new features. I'd wait for that one. I got the FS2004 version to work for my FSX, but none of the liveries will auto-install and I'm far, far too lazy to do it manually.

I pretty much just use flight sim for doing aerobatic stuff in jets these days, actually "flying" around in the sim just pisses me off, especially in GA planes.

The 600/700 package works in FSX but I would say wait for the NG 2.0 It will be better. I love the PMDG 737 package and fly it for most of my flights.
 
The PMDG MD11 is pretty awesome as well. The Level D 767 is excellent as well and is easy on frame rates.

Coolsky MD 80 is excellent to learn the FMS/CDU. Has a step by step procedure trainer.
 
On a related note, I've been wanting to try out the two pilot multiplayer feature on FSX. That sounds awesome. I tend to use FS2004 more, though, because FSX still doesn't quite operate as smoothly on my computer (lots of jerky freeze framing).

Basically how it works is you share the airplane, and the host of the plane has full control of the aircraft. The "co-pilot" can click things, set flaps, set radios, etc but cant control the throttle or control surfaces. If you want to switch it all over to the other guy, you hit Ctrl+Shift+T and then so do they and its transferred
 
Wouldn't it be more realistic if you both shoehorned yourselves in to a closet for several hours at a time? Extra realism points if one of you had Mexican for lunch.
