FSS Question

Sometimes there are few number listed on top of the VOR box in the sectional chart. The frequency with R is of course the one you will transmit on and listen on the VOR. But sometimes there are one or two other frequencies listed on top of the VOR box with no R next to them. (1)Are they also for FSS, and if so, (2) can they be used for back and forth communication because many times I've seen one frequency with R generally 122.1R and two others along with it. (3) And can you still use 122.2 using that Radio's call sign listed under the VOR box, or you have to use the ones listed on the VOR box.

I asked a lot in this paragraph, so I numbered each specific question I wanted information on. Thanks

I think you've mostly got it right. My understanding has always been that if there isn't a freq listed on the box then you use 122.2, but if there is a distinct freq like 122.6 then use that one. I think it has to do with separating radio traffic at closeby FSSs (probably not such a problem now that they've combined many).
The other freq that you'll see is 122.0, use that from anywhere (supposedly over 5,000 ft) for Enroute Flight Advisory Service or Flightwatch.
