Approximately 200 airplanes yet to be delivered. Growth really starts kicking in the second half of this year and isn’t scheduled to slowdown until around 2026. 18 planes being delivered, but 12 planes are lease returns so 6 net, but they are looking to keep more. Next year, essentially a plane every 2 weeks is delivered for the foreseeable future.
1. New hires are getting LAS and the other bases can be had with a few months of seniority but there is a lot of shuffling going on so things are a bit up in the air. this is what I keep hearing
2. I’ve heard the interview now lasts 1 hour and the percentage of interviewees hired seems to be increasing. There is no longer a training contract and I believe that hotels are now being provided to new hires. my interview class had 7 and 4 were hired, the interview is streamlined and you will know if you got the job that day. I got there at 6:45Am and was headed to the airport at 11:30AM. no training contract BUT you still are paying for your own hotel, unlike popular rumors that are going around. yes it's crappy.
3. Training is extremely laid back and it is served to you on a silver platter what they expect you to know. It’s up to the individual whether they want to take the ball and run with it or not.
Having said that, morale is probably the lowest I’ve seen it. Contract negotiations have seemed to have gone nowhere in 2 years and each company offer seems to be more insulting, if they even show up prepared to negotiate. the best guess/most optimistic rumor going around is a contract by late summer but who knows. if you're wondering what the Union has proposed, it's similar + a few % better than Spirits new TA
If you have any other questions I’m happy to answer them. Otherwise best of luck.
