At least it's not a liquidation, Yet.

It will be interesting to hear the source of the DIP financing.

Guys...they will continue to operate their flights under Chapter 11, this is not the same as the last 4 airlines that ceased all operations.

How quickly forget even Southernjets was in Chapter 11 protection just 2-3 years ago...
 
According to an article they owe Wells Fargo, a credit card processor, $93 mil, and Wells Fargo started to withhold money from their ticket sales to recoup the amount owed. So they filed for BK to stop Wells Fargo from collecting I guess.

I think the legacies will be OK, it's all these smaller carriers that will go out. That being said, Frontier certainly isn't THAT small...
 
These days its a small step from Chapter 11 to Chapter 7. And when Delta/United were in BK, there wasn't $112 a bbl oil to scare off potential investors.
