Hey GQ and 88, what letter does your last name begin with. Im trying to see if they are sending it out alphabetically or is it just random or by state. Also I would like to know from whom are those emails coming from, is it a specific person or just an automated thing.

Last name M, also got the email from C. Chambers.
Currently reside in TUS, 1st choice NC, 2nd TN.

When I submitted my geoprefs, I put a short note in the comments section about family support near where I wanted to be, which is in W-NC. I don't know if that helped at all.

It might be somewhat ignorant of you to judge someone's abilities without even knowing them or to pretend to understand their situation. I prefer the challenge and if I see you there I will let you know who I am and if I get fired you can tell me you told me so, but I would still like to give it a shot.

Cmon ATLTRACON...I've read a lot more on here than I've posted, so I know your position and I respect it, it makes sense...but can a guy (or girl) recognize that his goal is hard to achieve yet still strive to achieve it? I could understand if the failure rate was 99.9%, then maybe Acey97's ambition would seem foolish..but being the 1 person to succeed out of every 4 people that try seems like a doable challenge for many... You don't always have to be so negative

Give it a shot AFTER you learn how to do the job at a lower facility. I don't care if your prior military (had lots of those wash out) CTI (same) or contract tower (ditto). ATL and A80, like C90, N90, A90, is over the heads for everyone. Including those that have actually worked at other facilities. We have had washouts from other level 11 and 12 facilities as well as the piles of dead bodies of CTI's, VRA's and contract.

This is not a 1 in 4 scenario. The other that have not been counted are still trying to get checked out on their first or second sector. 2 YEARS after they got here, and the prospect does NOT look good. There is NO WAY they will EVER get checked out at A80. They do not have the skills that a busy facility requires, skills that are learned from being in a lower level facility. The positions that the ones that are checked out on are, if they were in a stand alone facility would be level 5 maybe 6 and they STILL struggle. This is not a daycare where we are going to hold your hand for years on end. It is not fair to us, who are working 6 days a week for over two years, and it is not fair to you who will not get checked out.

Just got Mine 11:20 Terminal Indiana I put FWA in the remarks so I hope I got it I currently live 10 Miles from the tower and this is my home town so I got my fingures crossed. I chose the Memphis PEPC and I'm actually worried about the ecg I've never had one so I'm nervous because if I would happen to fail it that would also revoke my flight medical so... that would suck by the way my background Last Name E but I think they are doing it by state. 4 year Aviation degree, CFI,II,MEI, Well Qualified AT-SAT. Does anybody know if their is a way to find out what facility before the PEPC don't know if I can stand the suspense for another month. lol Congrats All

Haven't heard much from some of the more competitive states. I'm wondering if I haven't delayed this process by only selecting GA. I mean besides Atlanta there isn't much here and I guess I reduced my odds by doing that.

You know I thought about that, but I think they only invited me for IN because they were using my old Indy address even though I called numerous times to tell them I lived in Atlanta and I wasn't interested in moving back. They kept telling me your ASAP information shows a GA address. Hmmm and yet I still got everything mailed to my Indy address. Oh well, I tried to give as much notice as possible.
