Just to kinda keep tabs on everyone's progress, please post here if you receive your PUBNAT1 email on Friday, June 20th. It appears several people were contacted yesterday, congrats to those, but as you receive an email today please update us. If possible, please include your geo prefs and what facility you were selected to interview for. Thanks. :yar:

THIS JUST IN......TERMINAL IN NEW JERSEY

EWR here I come (if they heeded my county options)!!!!! (2nd choice but oh well, beggars aren't choosers)

I've been checking my e-mail every 5 minutes since last night. At midnight I was checking my e-mail! As if I would receive it at midnight!!!

Hey GQ and 88, what letter does your last name begin with. Im trying to see if they are sending it out alphabetically or is it just random or by state. Also I would like to know from whom are those emails coming from, is it a specific person or just an automated thing.

When I received my PEPC invitation for IN which I declined  it came from some 9-ATO-.......@faa.gov automated email. Later I got an email from an actual person.

...oh and more info I am well-qualified (AT-SAT_ and selected terminal options only with NY (Queens county) my first choice and NJ (Essex/Union counties) my second

Congrats, GQ... please let me know how everything goes, since I'm looking to stay in NJ :)

I wonder if that lady would know who is on the hiring list, I hate playing this waiting game again, I went through it the first time I got hired and it sucks the second time as well, except this time its somewhere I want to go.

Thanks Chichi, although I was more set on going to a NY (Queens) location I am still grateful for this opportunity and very excited about the prospects of doing my dream job. Good Luck to all those waiting to hear something, I know the nerves can get to you (I couldn't sleep at all last night) but we're all in this together:)

This is a good lesson for everyone. I am going to make an assumption the you were not happy with the facility the FFAA sent you the first time around (area, cost, etc.) so you quit. If this is not the case I apologize. But, the point is, your career in the FFAA is, hopefully, a long one. You will most probably NOT retire from the same place you started. Go wherever they send you, stick it out and eventually you will move to where you want to be. Do NOT, except under extreme circumstance, quit and hope to get re-hired, especially if you expect it to be done quickly.

the email must still be trickling in I just got mine

The wierd part is that I put Colorado and Illinois, but I was chosen for Iowa. I do currently live in Iowa but was hoping to move somewhere else.

Congratulations. You have been chosen for further consideration for an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) position in a terminal facility in the state of Iowa

I heard they put a lot of weight on your current residence. Well, I live in Atlanta, I selected Atlanta, I want Atlanta. Atlanta, where are you?

OK folks, I'm goingto post it on this forum as well. This does not apply to all of you, just most of you. Do you really want to put your entire career, that you have waited soooooo long for, in the hands of the busiest facilities in the world?

If you do not make it at A80 (ATL included), you WILL be fired. Going to a large TRACON or Tower as your first assignment is career suicide. Plain and simple. As I have said more times than I can count (I can't count very high BTW) go to an ARTCC or a mid-level tower/tracon IE lvl 7-9. Learn HOW to do the job and then bid on the big show(s). We have had a washout/quit rate, I would estimate, in the 75%+ range. Did you all really spend 2-4 years paying your own way through CTI school to washout/fail your first facility? It's a long career and you will ALL have the opportunity to move to where you want to go, eventually. Do not for one second think that your first facility will be your last. Just does not work that way.

I actually prefer the challenge.

Congratulations on your selection,
looks like the process is speeding up a little this year. Hopefully I will be lucky as well. I keep my fingers crossed to see what happens on the 15th of July when I go take my test in Peachtree City.

Best of luck to you!
