Frequency Allocation

Can anyone verify this? http://www.qsl.net/n4jri/genavn.htm

I cannot remember the name of the agency that handles it and have been looking through my books but to no avail. I found this site http://www.smeter.net/spectrum/aviation.php that also verifies it and it goes along with readings I remember from a book "Say Again, Please" (an ASA book) which gave the agency that assigns frequencies which I have been unable to find again. Can anyone help?

To be clear I am looking for the government agency that handles frequency assignments, a link would be appreciated. Thanks

These charts illustrate the large scale handling, e.g., 117.975-121.9375 as aeronautical mobile. I am looking for the more specific like XXX is for UNICOM XXX for this airline company XXX for flight school XXX is not assigned used for helicopters and XXX is not assigned use for fixed wing.

I believe these sites you have only assign the large scale off to some company (the one that I am looking for) that assigns individual frequencies. I thought it was IACO but I can't seem to verify that either so I am here rereading through this damn book.

I never knew there were flight school frequencies.
Does anybody here or school use them?

Their is a specific assignment for every frequency charted somewhere, that is what I am in search of. See my second link and scroll down, there is a descent list there but it isn't even close to all of them.

Yeah that is the link I was referring to. Cool link.

What in the world do you guys talk about on flight school freq?

If the practice area is segmented and close to the field I would think unicom would be best to transmit your location on.

To my understanding this is actually not allowed, there are designed frequencies for that, 122.75 for fixed wing air to air communications (not 123.45 or any other variety that we hear), these are "assigned frequencies" for different things. For flight schools, they are referring to 141, my school was 123.3 but I think every FBO should use 122.75 for position report in the practice areas, it would be a great way for VFR traffic to have better position awareness if every FBO explained position reports.

IMO it isn't very hard to set yourself up with a small practice box over a point of reference on the ground and then make a position report with altitude and location.

*Edit*

Still Looking for the official organization that releases frequency assignments, anyone have any idea or link?

Which practice area we are in.

Call MX guys if something's acting goofy.

Ask the dispatcher if someone needs the airplane right away.

Which practice area we are in. ah, Approach divides us up

Call MX guys if something's acting goofy. We actually not allowed to do this.

Ask the dispatcher if someone needs the airplane right away. Our dispatcher sits next to the UNICOM mic.

Thanks.

The question still stands: What organization handles frequency allocation for all aviation specific frequencies? If possible post a link, thanks again.
