Freight on the East Coast?

1. Ram Air Freight is based in Raleigh, NC. That is the company that I work for. We fly all over the southeast and mid atlantic.

2. Flight Express is another one based in ORL. They also cover the southeast.

3. AirNow is a UPS feeder based in Bennington, VT (DDH). They fly mostly in the northeast but also have some bases in the southeast as well.

4. Wiggins Airways is a FedEx feeder based in Manchester, NH (MHT) and the cover the northeast.

5. Mountain Air Cargo is another FedEx feeder based here in North Carolina. I'm not sure which city but I do see their Caravans flying around here.

Those are all the East Coast freight companies that come to mind right now. Someone else might be able to chime in with some other ones. :)
 
Airnet has bases in philly, pit, bradley, boston, teterboro, buffalo, richmond, and a few others I'm probably forgetting
 
Thanks! I was curious to know if there were any in the Philly area. It makes sense that there would be, I just didn't think Airnet.
 
You'll get killed at Airnow, avoid them at all costs.

They crashed four EMB-110's last year and the year before that they lost a lawsuit against a pilot that they fired when he wouldn't depart with a busted attitude indicator (he couldn't MEL it).
 
AirNow is a place to avoid at ALL costs.

Technically it was 4 crashes in a year and a half (first one was january of 05 and the most recent was this past summer), 3 of them fatal. 2 of the crashes were BGR based pilots, including the nonfatal one. The 'van guy that won the lawsuit was also BGR based.

Funny thing is they have an ad posted in the FBO at BGR looking for pilots.

That is crazy, I'd rather go to a regional! (well who knows what I might do, I'll worry about my CFI for now).

I just don't understand why some people would do that to others. Arn't these people civilized?

Oh, any companies operate 1900s on the East? (I'm getting picky now;))

EDIT: I am not a Comm pilot working on my CFI, if that above comment confused anyone. I ment I'll worry about my CFI issues as of now.

That is very true. AirNow is pretty well known for killing pilots. It makes my home state of Vermont look bad! :( If you want to fly frieight in the northeast, I would recommend going with Wiggins.
 
Airnet would be a good one to go with also. As was previously mentioned, they have quite a few bases on the East Coast. They also have an excellent safety record.
