Free Time: Excercise

I understand that the Academy has a training facility as do many of the lodging establishments.

Do any current trainees know the fee structure of the Academy facility or have a review of its contents and equipment?

Also (I am sure this is silly - so feel free to mock me), I have ALWAYS wanted to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I heard it was a fantastic cardiovascular workout. Do any long time OKC residents know of any programs that would suit an absolute beginner and would work on a 4 month span?

Just casting it out there.

Try the Lighthouse. A lot of people from my class joined there. The Academy charges initiation & the Lighthouse will waive those fees for FAA students while they are here. I think it's a little less each month also.

I posted this in another Isola Bella thread but I think its worth reposting.

I visited my facility a couple weeks ago and meet some guys who just left OKC. Two of them stayed as Isola Bella for the first couple weeks but left because they didn't like it. One of them said that a squirrel chewed through his bedroom wall and was running around inside their apartment; I'm guessing that doesn't happen very often though.

Anyway they recommended that I stay somewhere else and use the FAA gym which is cheap.

Did he put a video on youtube? That would be priceless

Hearing him describe it was priceless. Coming home from a night class and turning on the lights, only to be greeted by a North American Ground Squirrel running across your apartment and disappearing into your bedroom.

I now have a mental picture of something "Tom & Jerry"-like

That's when you get the neighbors German Shepherd to come in and do a favor for you :D
