Browsing through some pics I came across one that I thought might be me. After checking my logbook I confirmed I was flying that particular plane that day?

Yep, My dad is on there. Kinda creepy, actually....people keeping tabs on him over in GVA. There is probably more of him on there, those Europeans are into that stuff.

pretty cool!! all you need to do is blow it up and you'll be able to see yourself thru the window!! :)

If I had my druthers, I'd enjoy flying for your airlines. Man, I'm salivating just thinking about it!

How is flying for Carribean Star? Is the QOL and pay pretty much just as it is in the states in terms of your avg. regional?

Do they hire guys with FAA licenses?

Flying down here has been great, we do a lot of sectors and fly into some pretty interesting airports. I couldn't compare it to the regionals but life down here is pretty laid back. Unfortunately, the industry is going through a shakeup down here so I'm thinking of heading back to the states to fly corporate. To fly down here you have to convert your FAA ratings by taking an Air Law exam aswell as a technical exams on A/C systems.

Shakeup? Please elaborate. Is "shakeup" synonymous with downsizing? Air Law exam sounds different. What exactly is that?

Well the Air Law is essentially the FARs but more loosely based on the JAA system. The Aircraft General is a test on things like turbine engines, A/C D/C electrics, pressurization, etc..etc. When I mean shakeup, the "major airline" down here, BWIA after being open for 66yrs is shutting down today and opening tomm as a new "Caribbean Airlines" with a reduced fleet. The Dash-8 airlines are trying to consolidate to cut the excess fat and make a profitable airline. Hence, the shake up.
