"Flying of Jet Aircraft Prohibited" Medical Restriction

Hey Doc,

My friend recently went for his physical, and received his medical with the restriction "Flying of jet aircraft prohibited." Is this a normal restriction, and what causes it to be placed on the medical certificate?

I have never seen that restriction. It would have to come out of Oklahoma City if it were issued that way.

Interesting......maybe it was some sort of a high altitude restriction for sinus problems or whatnot. Just speculating here of course....I've not heard of that either.
