Yes, they only require 1000 hours to apply. The article is primarily advertisment for customers... you know, saying they have a high safety record and "high" time pilots, etc...
FYI:
Applicant must meet Airline Transport Pilot standards. Applicant must be able to demonstrate piloting skills and judgement during a practical flight test.
It's 1000 hours in a "similar aircraft or operation"...paraphrased...whatever that means.
