Flight Suit morale patches

When you say "morale patch", what are you specifically referring to? There are numerous websites that have a menagerie of military patches that can be found on google. I don't know of any specific ones, though.

LOL!

Is that the new " softer " side to the USAFA?

I mean the little patches that go on the velcro strip on the left arm pocket known as the "pencil pocket"

Our our squadron gets them custom made at the local tailoring shop. I don't know if there is actually a website that sells many different patchs or not.

If you are a "stuent" at the A F Academy as your profile suggests, then the following is what should happen.
If you graduate and if you are accepted into flight training of some type then the unit you are assigned to will supply you with a unit patch sutable for wear on the flight suit.

Most times there will be two patches. One for the sleve and one for the right front portion of the flight suit. These patches will for most units
a. indicate the parent command
b. indicate the individuals unit within that command

If on the other hand, you are just a student dependent who lives at the Academy, just ask your dad to get you a patch.

You couldnt be more wrong. As a student i am flying here still. I wear my flight suit 2-3 times a week. We are authorized these patches. We have our wing patch on right breast and squadron patch on the right sleeve. I just wanted to find something other than the "evil grin" that everyone here has.

Here's one for you, you don't have a hair on your butt if you don't take me up on this... what with the goings-on at that clown-act zoo of a college as we speak. I've got a couple of tabs with "FAT CHICKS" in yellow with a red circle and slash through it. Dare you to wear one of those around.....

Coudn't be more wrong.

In just what portion of my post was I wrong. I stated
1. If you were assigned to a flying position the unit would isue a patch.
2. There are gennerally two patches issued.

Your initial post said nothing about you flying at the zoo, I therefore could not be expected to know that you were already in a flight position. Now that you have cleared up the intent of your initial post, I would suggest you visit one of the sites that have been recommended and find a "morale patch" that will reflect your feelings.

Send me one, I'll gladly wear it, especially down at Al Udeid

Of course my roomates moto in flight school was ... "go ugly early save money"!

Hey Ian
Tell me what you want one to say and I'll have the local Hadji shop make up some. If you want it for your pencil pocket tab, it's got to be small. I've seen aircraft type, blood type, hours, and our unit has one for every 25 missions flown to Al Udeid, the center of the universe over here.

Jim,

PM me your APO, or post it here. I'll send you one. I could see a ringknocker cadet not wanting to do this, but if a WO wouldn't do this......he double would't have a hair on his ass!

What are they going to do? Send you to the Gulf?

You need something to counter all those "desert queens" with chips on their shoulders anyway........
