Flight Safety Intl

What type did you do your recurrent on?

As far as I know FSI Paris has some of the best pilot/instructors, most of them are older/retired guys and have flown anything from DC3s to Antonovs in Congo. I m very good friend with the Legacy/145 guy over there, he never flew the real thing, but his inputs made Embrarer apply changes to the airplanes manual.
It was on the Legacy! All the guys were really knowledgeable and helpful (Stéphane, Michel, and Oren), just wasn't expecting them to have no time on type. Especially considering a lot of European companies have operated the -145 and there are a lot of Legacies buzzing around. My last times were at Swiss Aviation Training and all the guys had flown the plane a lot.

I've never had bad training from FSI. Some of the guys had time in type and others had no time in type but both knew the aircraft equally well. Of course the guys with time in type had technique items the could share. Their Saab and E170 programs were great and I was fortunate to do initials in both aircraft with them.
