Flight Lands in Bangor...Why..Cat Stevens...

[ QUOTE ]
Come on, do you expect Cat Stevens to try to blow up a plane? Or Ted Kennedy?

[/ QUOTE ]

The issue seems to be that he was not supposed to be allowed entry into the US. Agree that landing short proabably wasn't necessary, but don't know all they know about why he wasn't supposed to be on the flight. Certainly a different situation than Ted Kennedy who is still allowed in the US.

Bangor has a little cottage industry going handling problem passengers off international flights, so maybe the feds wanted him up there.

This does clear up some confusion for me. Some things I've read about Islam may have actually referred to Cat Stevens.

Yup. So then we have a bigger problem. Let's forget that I personally think it's stupid that Cat Stevens is considered a terrorist threat. I don't think either of us think that he's going to blow up the plane.

But if he's on the do not admit to the US list, how did he get on the plane?

Don't know. Yusuf has been busy since he stopped being Cat. Founded a Muslim church in London, supported Kohmeni's contract on Rushdie. Said to have contributed to terrorist causes. It's funny how crazy some peace activists get.

That is definitely the question.

But the problem is does anyone really know whether or not an organization's a terrorist front?

[/ QUOTE ]
Bingo!

Have you been keeping tracks of his footsteps since his songs in the 70s? I havent, who knows where he's been.

I think it says something that he was still not allowed in the US after questioning.

OOOOO baby its a wild world.......

That watch list really does some work when they are allowed on the plane then fly for a while b4 they even find out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
