Flight Lands in Bangor...Why..Cat Stevens...

So....our wonderful terrorist list includes guys like Ted Kennedy and Cat Stevens. Lovely.
 
Well, at least we have a list!!!

And now, the government can say "We're being proactive!!!"

As stupid people, we're supposed to buy our duct tape and shut up!
 
I just couldn't think up a Cat Stevens joke to save my life!
 
That just pisses me off. When a peace activist like Cat Stevens is branded on a U.S. watch list......

I didn't see reference to it in the article, but on ABC news radio they said he was on the list because he has made contributions to agencies known to sponsor terror.

And what about the poor pax who were diverted to another airport for this nonsense? I can't believe it. What has this country come to?
 
Cat STevens reportedly gave money to the Hamas Terror network....hence his place on the watch list...he was also denied entry to israel a while back.You shouldve heard fox news last night as i was falling asleep....big doings in washington DC....
 
Islam was also was a big fan of that peace-loving Ayatollah Khomeini. Sounds like he's a peace activist like Arafat is a Nobel Peace Prize winner.

But he has made some good songs.

But the problem is does anyone really know whether or not an organization's a terrorist front? Case in point -- there was a group in Northern Virginia that was a Muslim charity. And they definitely did give money to true charities. But then the Feds found out that they gave money to terrorist organizations as well and I believe that Hamas was one of them.

So let's say you gave money to these guys, knowing that they definitely did funnel money to truly charitable groups. Then you find out later that Hamas got some money from them. Now what?

I'd feel like absolute dog crap if I did that. And maybe that's what happened to Cat Stevens. And maybe he gave money directly to Hamas. But before we put him on a terrorist watch list, shouldn't we find out?
 
i dont know the facts...i just know that was the reason he was pulled off that flight. yeah, it sucks, but thats the world we live in now.....id rather be wrong and inconvenience some people than take the risk and let someone slip through the cracks and do some shady $h!t. Im pretty sure the governemnt doesnt just make this stuff up.....there had to have been some justification.
