....Anyone find it unusual that they require an INSTRUMENT + ME rating for flight operations intern.

I did this this a few years back with CAL. The reason the wanted a a ME+ Instrument rating is because they trained us in the 737 sim, I have a whopping 30 hrs in a 737 Lvl D sim. I was in SOCC and SOCC route planning.

Good to know^. I wanted to do it but won't have my commercial multi until the end of this year. Hopefully next year it gets posted again!

They do one every semester Fall, Spring, Summer. Summer is usually harder, they had about 110 people apply for the summer I did mine.

I would love to apply for the intern but unfortunately I have already graduated..

....so what was the outcome, did you end up working for them or moved on. Does Tom Kelly sound familiar

Haven't gotten a job with them yet. Just building my time for a regional. I plan to go back when I meet the mins for interns. Tom Kelly does ring a bell, but I dont remember its from my time at CAL or not.

Yes, Tom Kelly was in charge of the terminal ops when it was CAL. Its been a while though, this dates back to 2006. Good luck to you in getting a job at the regionals. My understanding is that you want express jet.
