You can probably guess what I'm going to ask by the thread title. I'm studying to take the ATP written (again) because I figured I'd actually get the ticket this time rather than let the written expire.
I'm trying to remember all the different fuel reserve requirements that apply to flag, domestic, and supplemental operators flying reciprocating, turboprop, and turbojet aircraft in situations where an alternate is filed or not. I think I'm counting 12 different situations.
Perhaps I could keep them all straight in my head if I understood why the requirements are what they are, rather than just try to memorize them. Is there a method to the madness?
