Boeing Company Salisbury, England United Kingdom, International:<BR />Salisbury,Wiltshire,United Kingdom ADPLX4 <p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">The Boeing Test and Evaluation Team in the United Kingdom has seen exceptional growth and development.&nbsp; In order to support an increase in workload, the Flight Operations team are seeking a Fixed Wing Test Pilot to further increase the UK Flight Operations capability</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">The requirements of the role are:</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Establish an in-country fixed wing capability for BDUK, liaising with wider Boeing resources to ensure a One Boeing approach while also ensuring the team are fully compliant with UK regulatory expectations.&nbsp; Supporting BDUK and its UK partners&#8217; delivery capability to the front line through the provision of sustainment and training services.&nbsp; Plans and participates in flight test activities in support of experimental and operational test programmes. Plans and conducts tasked, maintenance, production and acceptance test flights. Demonstrates or leads aircraft-qualified customer pilots in the maintenance test flight / acceptance process. Identifies and documents flight deficiencies and coordinates resolution. Ensures design integrity and recommends changes based on operational considerations. Reviews service related issues and customer feedback to continuously improve production check procedures and documentation. </p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">The role has the following key responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Developing Sustainment and Training services solutions across the Boeing business and with our partners.&nbsp; This will include liaison and co-ordination of numerous stakeholders within combined teams to plan and deliver flight operations and T&amp;E to introduce capability to the front line.</li><li>Conducts delivery, ferry, support tests flights and functional check flights on production and non-production aircraft as aircraft captain and/or co-pilot. Perform the duties of aircraft captain and / or co-pilot.</li><li>Perform the duties of a Flight Authoriser, including when operating without any on-site superior.</li><li>Represent Boeing Flight Operations at MOD Boscombe Down and other UK operating sites of Boeing aircraft.</li><li>Provide aircrew advice to the Boeing Design Team and assist with product development.</li><li>Periodic support to Boeing Flight Operations at other global Boeing sites as required.</li><li>Support customer meetings. </li><li>Participate in programme planning and support for safety activities.</li><li>Identify risks, issues and opportunities and support the development of mitigation plans.</li><li>Support the further development and maintenance of safety process. </li></ul><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Perform duties which may include:</p><ul><li>Boeing on-site Flight Safety Officer</li><li>Flight Operations support and coordination of aircrew related resources</li><li>Support Boeing flight operations in the experimental test, instructional and maintenance domains</li><li>Support vertical lift / rotary aircraft activities as required</li></ul><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Some UK and US travel is expected, with some travel to other global sites.&nbsp; This role will report to the BDUK Chief Test Pilot, with additional reporting lines to US-based personnel. There may be prolonged deployments to the US to support additional qualification, routine training and liaison across the Boeing business</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Required:</p><ul><li>Be fully aware of general aviation principles and have detailed experience of flying in the UK.&nbsp; </li><li>Must possess an EASA or FAA Commercial Pilot&#8217;s Licence (or equivalent), or hold a military pilot&#8217;s flying brevet from a NATO country.&nbsp; </li><li>Experimental Test Pilot qualification</li><li>Must be able to pass an EASA Class 1, FAA Class 1 and UK military aviation medical.</li><li>Able to identify when safety within the flying environment may be compromised and can be relied upon to act decisively to improve aviation safety.&nbsp; </li><li>The role will have significant UK MoD and wider Boeing interface and therefore a person who is diplomatic whilst being strong minded is required. </li></ul><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px"></p><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Preferred:</p><ul><li>Detailed technical knowledge of the Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) operations such as Maritime Patrol and Airborne Early Warning and Command.&nbsp; The candidate would benefit from experience on a range of fixed wing aircraft, particularly aircraft manufactured by Boeing</li><li>Previous experience of Experimental and Operational Test &amp; Evaluation is desirable</li><li>Tactical aircraft and electronic warfare experience would be advantageous.</li><li>Instructional qualifications (both flying and weapons) would be beneficial and will enable flexibility of employment</li><li>Demonstrates the ability to plan work, conduct it and maintain an auditable log. Able to effectively execute and seek opportunities to improve strategies, processes and project plans. Assist with removal of obstacles by identifying where help is needed and coordinating with the appropriate leaders and team members</li></ul><p style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px">Some UK and US travel is expected, with some travel to other global sites.
