This position is based out of our Aurora, Oregon Headquarters location, but will involve travel to LFN’s 8 Fixed Wing bases throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong><br /><div>The Fixed Wing Check Pilot/Training Captain (CPTC) is responsible for conducting FAA required .293, .299 and .297 evaluations and check rides in compliance with LFN&#8217;s Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate. In addition, this position also maintains proficiency in the role of a Fixed Wing Pilot. The CPTC conducts basic indoctrination and recurrent training for the fixed wing program. The CPTC works with the Fixed Wing Chief Pilot to maintain and revise training curriculum. The CPTC must possess strong leadership skills, crew resource management skills, and the ability to communicate with a variety of people, one-on-one and in large groups.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><br /><ul><li>Three years of experience as a Part 135 PIC in at an EMS fixed wing operation</li><li>2500 hours of fixed wing experience as PIC</li><li>2000 hours of turbine engine time</li><li>100 hours of night-time experience</li><li>Minimum 300 hours actual instrument time required</li><li>Current Certified Flight Instructor Certification (CFII) preferred</li><li>Airline Transport Pilot Certification (ATP) required</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels</li><li>Able to take initiative to create, implement and improve procedures and policies</li><li>Travel by personal or company vehicle throughout LFN&#8217;s service area, a valid driver&#8217;s license, automobile in good repair and proof of auto insurance is required.</li></ul><div>&nbsp;</div><strong>GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong><br /><ul><li>Complete training, evaluation and required documentation in accordance with LFN GOM and FAR in prescribed timeframe.</li><li>Maintain current Check Airman credentials.</li><li>Ensure Pilots are familiar with all FAA requirements and policies.</li><li>Evaluates Pilots on policies and procedures and ensure training is up to date and compliant.</li><li>Provides regulatory direction to Pilots.</li><li>Supports the Safety and Risk Management Agreement and actively advocates LFN&#8217;s safety culture.
