Fitness question.

So I got a question for the military folks, here me out a min.

I joined the army after HS but had to get a waiver for a stomach surgery I had when I was a freshman. I joined and didn't get through basic before I got really sick and they gave me an EPTS (existing prior to service) discharge. So now almost 10 years later I'm done with college, and I got a FAA Class 1 and am months away from getting my CSEL currently at 210TT. But I was thinking of trying to get back into any branch at this point to help pay off my college debt. Would any branch take me and would any branch give me a pilot slot (fixed or helo). I'm perfactly fine physically and I play baseball and mountin bike regulary and am probably in the best shape I've been in. Any advice would be great. I don't even know if the army thinks I was in since I asked them for a copy of my last ELS (pay stub) and they couldn't find any. I'm wondering if a recruiter would be able to see I was in previously.

I'm just a regular Joe, so take this with a grain of sand. The military isn't really hurting for numbers anymore and I think the military budget is going to shrink over the next four years as well, so they might be a little bit more picky and less generous with the bonuses and benefits than they have been in the past few years. As far as fitness for duty issues, you'll need to talk to a recruiter about that and probably get evaluated by a military physician. If you received a DD-214 there is a record of your prior service and a reenlistment code.
