Firefox and Jetcareers

The topics on the main page are a little further apart and spaced strangely compared to IE, and the text in the posting box is a little large. Think you can take care of that Doug? Other than that Jetcareers looks great on Firefox.

[/ QUOTE ]This sounds like something minute that could be lived with...Why not just use IE, Netscape, Opera or Mozilla, which is what 99.99% of the statistics show people using? Doug's got the site conformed to those 4 only...he can't conform to every single browser out there, the software just doesn't work that way.

If you choose to use a different browser than IE (for windows people) or Netscape (for Mac people), then there, honestly, isn't much we can do about that...

we've never even heard of firefox before....it could be that it's a firefox browser problem and not a Doug Design problem since JC conforms to 4 of the most used browsers out there.

not to be rude, but sorry - he just doesn't have time to fix little spacing problems here and there

Stats of today show 95.76% of my users use IE 5.0 or better

Another 3.25% use Mozilla/Netscape

and >1% = "other"

[geeky nitpick'n minutiae]
95.76+3.25=99.01,
therefore "other"<1%, not >1%

Isn't Firefox from mozilla? That is where I have always downloaded it. I use it and JC works finewith it.

Now my "Self Geek-o-meter" has been reset!

Woo! I used to be part of "Other," having used Opera for a loooong time. I stopped browsing this site with it once I found that someone's dancing bunny avatar kept crashing the program.

....awwww thought this thread was about that 80's movie with Clint Eastwood.

So did I.

That was a funny scene. I also like how Eastwood was a flawed hero in that movie, with all the flashbacks and so on. Nothing like him being super cool dude who had not one problem in his life.

I looked at the site in both IE (6.0.2800 w/SP1) and Firefox (0.9) and everything looks pretty much identical. The forums work great under mozilla/firefox.

Firefox is Mozilla without all the bloat. It is part of the Mozilla family and pages should render the same on any Mozilla/Gecko browser. One problem with Mozilla is that some sites won't let you in unless you are using IE. So Mozilla users will change their "user agent" to make themselves appear to be IE users. This makes the statistics not completely accurate. If you are a mozilla user and want to get a tool that allows you to change the user agent, google for "mozilla user agent switcher".
