Finding rental aircraft or people to join into a fractional?

Ok, well soon I will be leaving my spot as a full time CFI, into a very part time CFI working for the railroad. The local FBO's up here basically have iffy cessnas and old piper products. I'm looking for a 182 or a Cirrus so I can get some meaningful time doing cross countries.

Anyone know how to network around this, or a good search site for aircraft rentals?

Try to find a flying club.

While it doesn't always work, you can try www.rentplanes.com. More often than not the actual planes for rent are wrong, but it does give you places to look.
