Fightin\' words in the gun store today.....in a fun way!

Went to go target shooting today at Scottsdale Gun Club where I'm a member. Plinked a couple of rounds out of the IMI Desert Eagle .50AE. Most of the staff are, for some reason, ex-Marine or Marine reservists. One of these ex-Marines was demonstrating the details of an M-16A1 to one of the new-hires, and had trouble getting the bolt to lock back. Seeing this, I ask "Hey Marine, do you need some Air Force instruction on how to use that rifle?" To where he promptly replied "Not if I'm desiring to actually hit the target.....sir."

Get em sir.......•! when I read the title, I said to myself,"damn Mike is really getting into this Air America stuff, he is buying us an arsenal"

So once I've finished doing my PPL in a tailwheel in the woods somewhere can I volunteer for flying some Pilatus Porters into some 45 degree incline mountain strips?

The new building is something, isn't it, Mike? I did some training with them when they were working out of the Armory two years ago, and just recently went back down there to visit the new facility...sweeeeet. In the time between my academy date (Scottsdale or Phoenix PD, whoever will take me) and the time I arrive in Phoenix, I might be working there.

Anybody see the replacement for the M-16 yet? I've read about it, but haven't seen photos. Supposed to be chambered 6.8mm.
